Beth Phoenix Wrestling
Phoenix wrestled in high school, and after graduation trained with the All-Knighters, Canadian Professional Wrestling brothers who once trained with the Hart family. She married Joey Knight, one of the brothers... Beth managed the tag team for a while. In May 2001 she debuted against Alexis Laree (Mickie James). In 2002 she became the 1st GLORY champion. In 2003 she wrestled in the WXW Women's Elite 8 Tournament twice eventually losing to April Hunter and Alicia. July 2004 she debuted with Ohio Valley Wrestling and received a developmental contract with the WWE on October 20th, 2005.
On May 8th, 2006 Beth Phoenix debuts in the WWE. Mickie James was beating Trish Stratus, Beth came in to save Trish. Though on June 5th during a match with Tara (Victoria), Beth gets her jaw broken and has several surgeries to fix it. She would not come back to the WWE until July 9th, 2007.
July 14th, 2008 she defeated Santino Marella, though this brought an on-screen relationship. This eventually led to a tag team match featuring these two against Kobi Kingston and Mickie James both putting up their respective titles. Beth won the WWE Women's title and Marella winning the Intercontinental belt. Beth lost her title January 2009 to Melina.
Wrestlemania XXV, April 5th, 2009 Beth Phoenix competed in a 25 Diva Battle Royal but was thrown out by Santina Marella. October 12th, 2009 it was announced she was traded to Smackdown. She will be shooting for the WWE Women's title again fighting amongst Mickie James and champion Michelle McCool. On October 2nd, 2011 Beth defeated Kelly Kelly giving her 4 times with the title (1st time with the WWE Diva belt.)
