Betsy Ruth
granted Wrestlers Female a unique and exclusive
interview! Wrestlers Female was there to witness Betsy destroy her opponents to
become WXW Women's 2009 ELITE Tournament
WF:
What made you decide to become a professional wrestler?
Betsy Ruth:
My dad never had a boy to raise, so I always watched wrestling on television and
went to NWA shows with my dad. As a kid I would parade around in homemade
wrestling attire pretending to be a world champion. As I grew up I got heavily
involved in sports and theatre. I majored at UCF in Theatre and continued to
play intramural sports in college. When I was through with college I needed to
fill that void. I met The Dudleys and my life has been on crazy ride since!
WF:
You
are the great granddaughter of Babe Ruth who is considered to be the
best at what he did. Does this put added pressure on you to be the best
wrestler?
Betsy Ruth:
I'm just trying to make a name for
myself and earn the same respect in my sport that he has in baseball.
WF: Who were your
favorite wrestlers growing up? Betsy Ruth:
Male: It is a tie between Ric Flair and
Stone Cold Steve Austin

a running powerslam (The Grand Slam)
