EVE Results 2010

May 8th, 2010: Pro-Wrestling:EVE began by immediately showcasing what makes EVE different to everyone else by launching with The Catch Division! The honor of opening The Catch Division went to April Davids (ENG) and Jenny Sjodin (SWE) who were both representing The Northern Shooters Gym. A very stiff contest ensued that saw Sjodin tap out to an ankle lock/knee bar combo in Round 4. The perfect opening showcase for Pro-Wrestling:EVE.

As "Ich Will" boomed from the speakers a monster emerged to a gasp of awe from the crowd. Germany's
Alpha Female (who was announced as having no gym affiliation) certainly looked the part but could she follow through and wrestle the part? We would certainly know by the end of this contest as her opponent was the high-flyer from Cardiff, Wales - "The Suicide Girl" Becky James who was fighting out of Team Storm.
Despite
James wisely using her speed as a main weapon of offense it was the power of The Alpha Female that eventually caught the red-haired high-flyer who was out for the count following a brutal running powerslam. Alpha Female had indeed arrived and the crowd were simply in awe.

Up next was a 4 corners elimination match that saw
Erin Angel (No Gym Affiliation), Carmel Jacob (The Glamour Gym) and "The Super-Celebrity It Girl" Melanie Price (The Glamour Gym) defeated by the 18 year veteran Saraya Knight (WAW Gym) who eliminated all 3 in a good match.

Ireland's
Rhia O'Riley (Team Storm) and Scotland's Sara-Marie Taylor (The Glamour Gym) were up next in a singles contest. Both girls went all out in a short but spirited contest but a mistake from "The Fighting Irish" lead to a heal-hook Driven DDT for the 3-count.

In the days leading up to May 8 former
Sky One Gladiator Jemma "Inferno" Palmer suffered a broken hand and was not given clearance to compete for EVE on May 8 but had stated that despite this she was going to appear and speak to the fans herself. Palmer's original opponent for the evening "Coventry's Loudest" Jetta had plans of her own. Interrupting a heart-felt apology from the television star Jetta stated that she'd competed with numerous broken bones and never complained once and here was a Gladiator doing what a little ol' Doctor told her. Jetta repeatedly got in Jemma's face including flicking Jemma's foreheard repeatedly before following on with a slap, at this point Jemma struck Jetta back with a huge open-handed slap sending the Notorious C-O-V to the outside and demanded referee Chris Roberts call for the bell and an un-sanctioned contest between the two began. Jemma slammed Jetta's head into the ringside tables multiple times before chasing the 22 year old back into the ring however Jetta immediately took advantage of the broken hand of Palmer began to do damage. Palmer - in her first ever match continued to bravely fight on and never quit however a seated wrist lock lead to the referee calling for the bell fearing for the safety of Palmer. Jetta then left the ring singing the theme tune to the Gladiators television show while an injured Palmer was helped to her feet. Interestingly Palmer was overheard stating that this wasn't over despite Jetta only having one match left til her retirement and Palmer herself due to be leaving the country in the next few months.....

In the main event
Blue Nikita (No Gym Affiliation) defeated Britani Knight (WAW Gym) in a tremendous action packed back and forth contest however the victory could be classed as tainted by those watching. Nearing the end of the contest Britani sent her Greek opponent into the ropes however Blue Nikita responded by using the momentum to turn it into a baseball slide dropkick through the ropes to the outside where Britani's Mother Saraya Knight stood. While the referee checked on Saraya her daughter Britani fell victim to a vicious looking toe-punt low-blow and followed it up with a high-angle air-raid crash for the 1-2-3.

Following the contest a brawl broke out between
Saraya and Blue Nikita which saw referee Chris Roberts nailed with a closed fist punch and chunks of hair from Blue Nikita ripped from her scalp. Security rushed the ring and had to drag Blue Nikita to the back while Saraya was held away from her!
