WWE Maria Debut

Maria Debut came in 2004 when she decided to become a contestant for the WWE RAW Diva Search. She placed 5th on the show, nevertheless, WWE hired her almost immediately. She was signed to a developmental contract where she trained and wrestled with Ohio Valley Wrestling.

It was the OVW where she got even more noticed by the WWE who liked her in and out of ring persona. In November 2004 Maria Kanellis started doing backstage interviews.

Her first official match came on January 10th, 2005 when she faced off against Christy Hemme in a Lingerie Pillow Fight in which she was defeated. Maria's next match was a Fulfill Your Fantasy Diva Battle Royal in which she was the 1st eliminated. This was her first title shot as the match was for the championship title.

Maria made her Smackdown debut on August 1st, 2008 when she defeated Victoria. Expect this up and coming star to see championship gold in the very near future.
